Kenya raises affordable housing prices by up to 20 per cent

NAIROBI: The State Department for Housing announced revised prices across the national Affordable Housing Programme: affordable units up 20%, market units up 10% for new applications from October 1 - as much as KSh 600,000 more per unit. Existing applicants under the previous structure are unaffected, but the rise sharpens questions about who "affordable" housing is priced for.
