LAGOS: Waste generation in fast-growing cities including Johannesburg, Lagos, Dakar and Accra is outpacing municipal collection and disposal capacity, a late-September report warns, with infrastructure investment failing to keep up. Uncollected waste is choking neighbourhoods and waterways - a public-health and flood-risk multiplier hiding inside a municipal-services problem.
